Have tried many different pairs and now have 2 firm favourites

Hestra - When really cold, think they are called Army leather gloves. Do find them too warm for me at times but if you like toastie hands definately worth the money. Got them on-line for about £60 in the end.

North Face Montana - When a little warmer, but to be honest these would do for all conditions, just found a pair at an outlet store for £15 so couldn't say no!

Hopefully will last quite a while now as long as I don't keep slicing them open with the ski edges.

If those gloves have only lasted two years I would stay away from Quicksilver.

Dakine, had mine for about 4 seasons (1 week per season). Still going very strong. Very warm.

I have Salomon leather gloves and I also have Salomon leather mittens...Had the gloves 4 years and the mittens three years. They are very warm (mits keep my hands slightly warmer) and they are both still in great condition...It looks like I'll get many years of wear out of them! :)

I'd definitely recommend North Face.
I am thinking about changing mine as they are getting a bit worn...after 5 seasons.
Ok, I'll admit I didn't ski on every single day of the 5 seasons but they have been nice and warm and very hard wearing.
They are only worn out on the thumb and index finger of the right hand where I hold my skis.
I see the Montana glove is mentioned, does any one have any experience with the Hoback or Decagon models?
