I dont go with the wife because she wont go on anythingg other than blues, greens or nursery slopes.
I took her to a small red run in Flaine once and she too scared so I pushed her down it, hoping that she learn quickly.
My theory of sink or swim went a bit sideways but should have seen her go flying over the moguls backwards.
I wet my pants in laughter and only regretted not having a camcorder on me.
She see's the funny side now, thank god!!

This may be a "tradition" I have to try this year
I started it up a couple of years ago whilst on an apres ski in Niederau.
I drank far too much and so did another person.
I went down the slalom in a 1980 slalom suit and she did it in a swimsuit (over her ski gear ofcourse.)
I highly recommend it and you will be the talk of the resort for sometime after believe me!!
I saw a group of lads last year in Morph suits it was very funny!

My son and his mates skied in morphsuits!
I didn't see it unfortunately (school trip)
They couldn't see very well - much to the amusement of others.

I've done swimming shorts
No ski gear - just socks and glasses (and boots and skis and poles of course!) as did some girls (in girl appropriate swim wear - not just shorts!)
Also ....
Full Father Christmas rig - including big sac.
Covered in flashing fairy lights - powered by a battery in a ruck sac.
Dinner jacket and bow tie ....
(in the company of a couple of girls braving the snow in cocktail dresses)
Aaaaah - the joys of alternative sanity
