Normally, we have Christmas at home or with family. This year we will be away skiing, (if it snows). With ski boots & some self catering supplies in our luggage, we will only have a few spare Kg each in our 20kg allowance. What small items would you pack to help recreate the festive spirit in a compact, self catering Alpine apartment. (I've already made it clear that the tin of Quality Street is stopping at home)!
The plan is.... there's no plan!

Our 11 year old will be delighted when he opens a little envelope with a lift pass in it

Salski I think it was you that put me onto The Lapland forum. Log on there and you will be amazed at what some of those people manage to stash away in their cases. I still cant believe what they take.

We've been away skiing for Xmas twice and took all the cards with us, and some of the smaller presents too, but had a second celebration and present opening when we came back so we had something to look forward to. Bottles of prefume, watches, etc dont weigh much, whereas a Wii or a new bike might be harder to pack.....

I'm watching this thread with personal interest because I'm away for Xmas this year as well.

Hadn't thought about tinsel BTW- great idea.
