I am currently in Gressoney for the season. All ski lifts in the Aosta valley are closed from today. There are very few cases of Covid-19 here, 8 at the time of writing, so stuck up a mountain at 1800m I am not overly worried about contracting the disease.
There seems to be a lot less hysteria in Italy - there is still food and toilet roll in the shops!
I plan to move on and continue my travels this week just in case this part of northern Italy goes into lock down.
I wrote this blog if anyone is interested in the facts about coronavirus and how to stay safe.

@NIIIXSY glad you still managed to make the most of your trip. Your timing was pretty close to the wire! I wouldnt risk it this week I think things have escalated.
Interesting that you were not tested or briefed at all at the airport when returning to the UK. We were the same but the Italians were really on it for us going out.

The closure of the Dolomiti Superski area has now been confirmed, the lifts will close from tomorrow. https://www.dolomitisuperski.com/en The hotels in the region are also going to close.

The resorts comprising the Ortler Ski Arena have also decided to close as have the resorts in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.

Finally, long overdue closure of the Dolomites. Icelandic health authorities have classified all Alpine ski resorts as high risk for Coronavirus infection.

Interestingly, the list of Dolomiti Superski areas on the above link doesn't seem to include Cortina d'Ampezzo. (Unless I've missed it).
