Great news Brucie as its only 12 days til I fly out and, I admit, was a little nervous even though I could see the snow making had done a great job.
Very excited now
BTW is Andorra still good for cheap gear? - I fancy some more lenses for my goggles and thought they may be cheaper duty free?

Whoopee! La nieve esta aqui! Skiing has been OK due to resort snow management but the real stuff is falling. The goat farmers say its here for a while so its all looking good in Soldeu!

Brilliant day in the powder here and still snowing. Visibility was not great but hell I'm not complaining. The real season finally starts!

Re your goggle lenses, those days are over I'm afraid. Soldeu has moved on, like everywhere else, to designer and fashion gear, and its not cheap anymore. Having said that, there are a couple of really good equipment shops in the village, with a wide variety of goggles etc. You might find just what you're looking for.

Hi Brucie, I'm trying to org a family group to El Tarter from Ireland mid-March. I've a son abroad who wants to join us and plans to join us in Toulouse where we land. Do you know would it be much of a problem or expense to get a transfer from Toulouse to El Tarter if there's no seat on our buses - the travel company can't guarantee a seat?

Hi Skipaddy. No problems with that. Local bus company run transfers from Toulouse airport to resorts. 64Euro return. Link below.(is that allowed Admin?)

Good day Brucie,
that info and link re transfer from Toulouse is greatly appreciated - thank you sir! By the way, from your extensive experience, what are the chances of decent snow in Grandvalira through mid-March?
