Another mild day in Grandvalira, but the snow was soft and reasonably good considering. A few bare patches appearing, the steeper pitches suffering the worst, and new snow is needed!

It will come!!!

Hi, I am going on my first skiing holiday to Andorra, Soldeu on Feb 21 2016. I have been checking the forecasts and its not looking good! I know it is early still with just under 3 weeks to go. How is the snow looking, is it still going to enough to ski in most places of the mountain and be real enjoyable? Or could it still have a huge snow fall?

Regards,
Daniel

Hi Brucie. Were they able to make some snow last night and today at Grandvalira? Temperatures dropped considerably and humidity is quite low.

Victor

Duvet day prior to traditional music night in the Harp.
Afraid it is mild again today with rain in the village.
No sign of cannon activity from my bedroom window Victor!

Conditions much better today. Yesterdays snow has really improved snow quality. Cold as well, so cannons augmenting natural snow. Looking forward to a good day tomorrow!

Driving to Pas de La Casa from Barcelona on the 9th February. I'm am a little worried because there is snow in the forecast for almost the whole day.
Where can I buy some "cadenas" to use in case it's needed? How safe is to drive to Pas in this conditions?

It's snowing now and special equipment needed from Canillo to France, so going by the forecast for the next week you will need. Maybe snow socks will be a cheaper short term alternative to chains if allowed.

That aside it looks like a good week for you.
