Hi,

New here so firstly hello!

I read a very interesting thread here (the reason I signed up) about height and weight and how that effects the ski to purchase. I am visiting NZ for four months of skiing so I will be purchasing some second hand ski's and wondered excatly what I should be looking for.

Some info about me - I'm generally on piste only (although 4 months skiing may change that), currently an intermediate skier (comfortable Green, Blue and most reds at speed and push myself on black runs slowly), 5ft9 and weigh 65kg.

What I want from a ski is one that can handle multi terrain, is easy in the turn for someone quite light but also one thats stable at speed. I've had experiences where some ski's are really easy in the turn but flap around at speed and other's where I'm barely strong enough to force a comfortable smooth turn but great for a slalom down a wide, fresh terrain.

From what I have read I should be looking for a decent carver, about 160 in length. Does that sound right? I was thinking maybe these on the link below but any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks for any input.
