I got some new Tyrolia SP130 bindings, and took them in to my local ski shop to have them fitted. They rang today to say they sent them to their workshop, wherever that is, and they cant fit them as they dont have a Tyrolia jig for these rental bindings.
I assume there are bespoke settings for different make bindings, and I was under the impression that Tyrolia were a fairly common well used make. However, it seems these people arent set up to fit them.
Does anyone who knows about this kind of stuff know where I might be able to take them to have them fitted to my skis? They need drilling, thats all I know!
I dont know what stands these apart being "rental" bindings either, any ideas?
I am going to be in Scotland Monday-Wednesaday, so could call in at one of the ski centres up there if needs be, but I need them doing on the spot, I cant leave them anywhere, as I am going away next Sunday and want the skis to be sorted to travel.
If not, should I take them to Serre Che with me and see about getting the fitted out there?
Buying skis and bindings individually has turned into something of a bit of a nightmare :(

Any good shop should do you a free hand mount for the standard £25 charge. Tyrolia are a common binding make and other ski companies use their bindings branded as their own.

Big dealers, like S&R or EB, somewhere that sells Tyrolia. Phone 1st and book them in for a slot.
It should be a straightforward mount. The Templates can be obtained by a dealer online IIRC, if they don't stock them. Weird!

Seems strange to me, as 2 Seasons fitted Tyrolia bindings to Hayley's skis. I sometimes wonder..
Perhaps with the timescale you are working to the best bet is to have them mounted in Serre Che - bound to be somewhere capable of doing it and probably at the right price too.
