Anyone used this airline? I dont know much about them, except they have a fleet of real old Boeing 737's and a couple of 757's.
My toup op has chartered one of their planes for our flight to Turin on 1st March, and the impression I have of Jet2.com is a budget airline like Ryanair and Easyjet.
Does that mean seats that dont recline, and no allocated seats at check in?
We have been told its 20kg for checked in baggage, and ski carriage paid for separately same as Monarch.

Just back from flying Jet2, probably the worst plane I have ever been on. Ever. The (recaro) seats did recline and the staff were pleasant enough.

We pre-booked seats online-at a charge of course. Plane was pretty empty. 1 hour delay out bound, 1 hour early coming back. We got 23kg each with Jet2 and I paid extra for the ski bag which weighed about 23 kg as well, no questions asked.

I used them last year. Just like the other 'budget' airlines, though the gf was a little uncomfortable with the age of the plane.

It really wasn't bad thoug and as it was only a 2hour flight I didn't check to see if the seat reclined.

You do get an allocated seat - I think it's only Easyjet who don't and I'm yet to see the sense in the scrum created or where this saves them money.
Bon. Allez!

Can you quantify that a little?

I understand the majority of their planes are Boeing 737-300s, the older models still flying, and the ones Easyjet used to fly until about 2 years ago.

Leg room is minimal, seats are really uncomfy and don't sit at the front because there is something running all th time (fuel pump?) that makes a lot of noise.

Only a couple hours on a plane so I would sit on the floor if I had to, cheap also. Would fly with them again but was just having a wee moan!

The one I was on was an old 737.

Sounds like your average flight with any of the following to be honest:

Ryanair
Easyjet
Monarch
First Choice
Thomas Cook
XL (before they went)
Thomson
