There will be some Techno-Volk-Polka-Yodel, some Chinese traditional folk music to chill to, some 12bar of the Quo variety, some easy listening stuff.
I doubt there will be any metal on it and certainly it will be devoid of X-factor material.

Looking for an album for Xmas (not a Xmas album....).
Anyone got any recommendations, knowing my kind of taste by now? I was hoping Editors would have had their new album out but it seems not.

Ministry of Sound - Electronic 80's?
I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids!

Got a lot of that stuff tbh. Was looking for something more up to date. Arcade Fire, Kasabian, Doves....thats my kind of thing.freezywater wrote:Tony_H wrote:That is a great tune my learned friend.Finn wrote:Doves - Snowden now added for the perfect blue sky tranquil moment on the slopes.

Doves "Sea Song" is one of the best ever.
Tony, you must know "So Here We Are" by Bloc Party. Very different from their usual stuff, in my top three of all time. (Actually quite like Sea Song.)
Reading back through the thread I've noticed comments about REM iive. I watched them before they'd broken here with Bono standing next to me 8)

Yep Sea Song is good. The Cedar Room was the song that got me into them, but its nothing like their best. Caught by the river is wonderful.caron-a wrote:Doves "Sea Song" is one of the best ever.

Not keen on Bloc Party, although the first album had some decent tracks on. I hate his voice. So here we are has a really complicated beat to it, but its a good song.
Not sure if I mentioned it but I saw REM in Tallinn. I also saw U2 play in The Boulevard Club in 1979 before they had released a track.

that's pretty impressive. I thought I was the only fan of "Boy" and "October". Don't like them now though
