The top pic is of one of the quite difficult itinery routes in Verbier. I somewhat surprised myself by doing this run several times. Had you shown it to me from that angle, I would have simply laughed it off saying that I'd never be able to tackle something like that. Very satisfying to have done it.
Rose - Verbier is indeed a lovely place up on the slopes, and great to ski too.

The middle pic, Caron, is of Montgenevre from Le Chalvet, looking across to the main Gondrans area. I have a suspicion that the highest peak in the background might just be the Matterhorn, its certainly the right shape, but I am happy to be corrected.
That run I was just about to do was a lot steeper, colder and longer than we had bargained for. It was however a perfect skiing day with blue skies and a nright sun, no wind.

The bottom pic is the Gerent chairlift on Horberg mountain in Mayrhofen, looking across to Rastkogel and Finkenburg. It was one of those sharp, slient mornings, not perfectly clear but with the little bits of early cloud fast disappearing. All you could hear was the buzz of the cables from the chair lift, and the odd skier swooshing past on their way down red 7. Perfect.
