Well, the precipitation promised duly arrived this weekend, but not as snow, but rain, all the way to 2500m!
It rained constantly for around 36hours and it remains to be seen what effect it has had on the snowpack.
For anyone interested, I will report back later. At least the sun is shining this morning!

Hi l have been reading your posts. I am with a ski club in New York thinking of Andorra for the club next February 2019 mid month. 50 people looking for a good central location hotel. With half board any suggestions

The resort I stay in is Soldeu which is central to the Grandvalira area. The best hotels location wise are the Hotel Sport, Sport Village, Piolets, Himalaia, which would all be large enough to accommodate your group, and are all within a couple of minutes walk to the Gondola station.Let me know if you need any further info.

Also, February is a busy month due to half term holidays in France, Spain and the UK so I would get on to the hotels quickly re availability for such a large group.

Hi Brucie our agent has a group staying at the Acta Ari Hotel 30 minutes from the slopes. Private Bus pick up and drop off every day. Reviews are mixed on the web. I think I like being closer to the slopes. What do you think about the bus and if you stay at a bar after skiing is there a public bus to get back to town.

I'd never heard of that hotel, but on investigating I see it is in Andorra La Vella, the main town in Andorra. The town is busy with shoppers but you would not get a ski vibe there. Better to be in or near one of the actual ski resort villages.
