1. Formatting is bust when I post on my mobile. Apparently the boys at j2ski towers are fixing this
2. Tony is allowed to wibble as he started the thread and he needs the practice. :)

ah, J2ski boys did well...it's working again now :) .

fair point on both counts...
Actually I love all the wibble. Skiers are destined to wibble anyway; the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, do we take it? No, we carve lovely wibbles all the way down, but get to the same point in the end.
[edit: taking it back, the J2ski boys need more practice, it's stopped working again ;-)]
if I'm not skiing then I'm kayaking.

I'm not really a great lover of chalet holidays give me an apartment any day, you can choose where you eat and I don't really feel the need to mix with all and sundry. I do that enough at home.
But put me in a chalet full of knobs like some of the other posters have mentioned and I would love it...... I'd have an absolute field day

I think it can be OK as long as there won't be any big groups that came together, in which case they will dominate and it might get annoying to put it mildly. I haven't got experience with chalet holidays and unlikely to get one, but overheard some converstaions from larger groups (usually they are loud so no avoiding it) and can imagine.

First chalet I stayed in was for about 10 people -too small really, but it was a bargain, sadly half of the people staying there had paid full price - perhaps not the best way to make new friends.

Wouldn't it be considered a rude question to ask - like asking someone you just met how much they make per year? :)

Found myself lumped together with a group of Teachers and families, just for a day. They spent the 1st hour on the lifts constructing a social hierarchy based on occupations. Along the lines of ...So what job do Yoouuu do?
I so wanted to say Nightclub Bouncer or Professional Assassin
