I did have some from Uniqlo which were cheap and great, except that I tumbled dried them by accident, which made them shrink. And Uniqlo no longer make knee-length long johns.
I notice M&S do thermal underwear. Any good? I notice they don't do knee-length though.

Don't know where you work PBP, but if its near an industrial estate, head to any tool suppliers. I managed to get 5 full sets of Helly Hanson thermals (non lifa) for a tenner each from a company called pirtek. (as well as a cool hat and loads of different glasses all at trade prices) Cromwell tools are another nationwide supplier of clothing (or PPE as they like to call it).
