I'd imagine to funding skiing large scale and promoting development would be a costly exercise. I don't think it should happen - it is totally unjustifiable.

yeah i agree Tony, both my lads are fantastic skiers i would love for them to have a future in the sport, but as you say "Rich Parents" and i'm afraid thats not us

I'm interested to learn what you think her potential is; to be an Olympic or World Cup winner perhaps? Or to be a world class skier?

I would humbly suggest the latter and also propose that she has certainly reached that particular 'potential', given her consistent results over the last four or five seasons.

Chemmy?
She will be the top British ladies skier, and thats it. She may make top 10s from time to time, but I cant see any better than that. Shes got a cracking booty though.

And for a British skier to be in the top ten "from time to time" is an extraordinary achievement, given lack of funding, team infrastructure and support resources, and compares very favourably with results of competitors from more favoured nations.

It is likely the struggles of Chemmy and other British racers will become even more difficult as the national ski federation falls to bits.
