Val Thorens, just came back excellent snow conditions, didn't have to ski down any slushy runs

I suspect I am done for the season the way weather looks at the moment. Went touring Sunday and I much more enjoyed schlepping up then skiing down. 4 hours hike to ski fairly average snow for the first 300 m of descent followed by crust/mush/slush. I will go up to watch a race next weekend because there is usually a good party on a mountain, but then if forecast rain materializes, putting the gear on might not even be worth it. Cherry and plum trees have already finished blooming, tulips are in full bloom, it feels like this season summer will come even before Easter will:(
