Andy I hope you are right !

Tony, I Canada is quite a cool place to go, the flight there is quite exciting as it is the start of you ski hols, the flight back is easy, a nightol and a nightnurse tab and you sleep for 8 hrs, trust me it works !

The down side is when you get back the jet lag knocks you out for at least 48 hrs but I still think its worth it!

Wish i could use the January deals but alas i am confined to school holidays-i have never looked but presume new year is crazy expensive so my question is, is America ok in April or is it just worth going to tignes? Still semi planning my 30th next year!

Canada has some of the best Skiing in the world! Don't be put off by the short drive from Bannff to Lake Louise and Sunshine Village or the long flight. I was there for a season in 2006, amazing town, amazing people and fantastic skiing. The resorts are absolutely massive as well you won't get bored. After skiing in Canada you will feel compelled to go back.

I have been to canada for the last 3 years visiting Kimberley, Banff, Lake Louise & Nakiska. This was due to my mum living in Calgary. What a fantastic place to ski. Great snow record & friendly people and you feel like you almost have the slopes to yourself. Admittedly its more expensive than Europe but worth every penny. It would be more appealing if the tour operators would provide a half board option as this is what drives up the cost. I am giving Breckenridge a try this Feb although I really wanted to try Big White in kelowna or Whitefish in Montana. This will have to wait for next year now. As for Europe, it would have to be a very good deal to get me there again as its just too busy on the slopes and lacks the powder that everyone goes in search of!
