Jet2 Add New Ski Flight from Stansted, Offers £1 Ski Carriage as Intro Offer

J2SkiNews posted Jun-2017

Hot on the heels of news of new ski flight routes from BA, Crystal, Easy Jet and Ryanair; as well as the announcement of a new Norwegian airlines transatlantic service from Gatwick to Denver next winter which is already driving down fares on that route, Jet2 have announced they're launching a new twice weekly service from Stansted to Lyon in France.

As part of their 'celebrations' of the launch of the new service, which will operate every Saturday and Sunday morning, Jet2 are offering just a £1 fee for skis or board carriage for those who are amongst the first to book flights on the new route – before 5th July 2017.
"The addition of Lyon, yet another exclusive route to Jet2.com from London Stansted, continues the successful start of operations from our newest base. It also strengthens our fantastic range of ski flights, and with services to Geneva, Grenoble, Lyon and Salzburg, customers really are spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing ski flights from our newest base this winter," said Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com.

Lyon is located west of the French Alps so is best placed to access resorts on that side of the mountains including Tignes, Les Arcs and Alpe d'Huez. Other French airports growing in popularity this coming winter with more routes from the UK include Chambery and Grenoble.

The addition of this new route from London Stansted to Lyon means J2Ski will now operate to four ski destinations and 15 destinations in total from what is their newest base this winter.

They also fly to Geneva (five weekly flights), Grenoble (one service every week) and Salzburg (three weekly services) from the airport with a total of 35,000 seats to fill on the four routes. http://www.jet2.com/ski
