How about Ruka in Lapland, which claims to have the longest ski season and is opening in October? I'm not speaking from experience, I've just read this post https://www.j2ski.com/ski-chat-forum/posts/list/17528.page :D

Cervinia, consistently has the best early snow in the Alps and guaranteed you get something.

Was in Cervinia Boxing Day through to 4th Jan Ranchero_1979 was pleased with the snow, just looking for somewhere other than Europe. Saying that though Acarr Lapland appeals will check it out thanks guys.

How about Colorado. Arapahoe Basin has a season October to May. Limited area but almost guaranteed snow. Also the Colorado resorts-Vail, Winter Park, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge etc.- all open on USA Thanksgiving Day which is usually 11th November. One other American place could be Mammoth in California which has a top mountain height of around 11,000 feet-haven't skied there myself but have skied all the other Colorado resorts. Favourite, if the snow is there, has to be Vail. Good luck!

Assuming your from Europe, is a pretty big risk going to US in early November. At least in Europe you are guaranteed skiing which is not the case in Colorado or California as hey are typically non glaciated. Of course if you a gambler worst case you can divert to Vegas from the latter.
