Hi Graham. I would agree with previous comment. I've skied there for many years but only ever done lunch at the Hospiz Alm restaurant (which I can highly recommend!). I think if it was me looking for Apre I would ski down to St Anton and then hop on the Postbus back to St C. Having said that, often small Austrian resorts have a cracking Apre place tucked away that isn't widely known (there's a place in Oberlech like that that has live traditional music on specific evenings). I think if I was staying in St C I would have a good sniff round when I got there........

I stayed at the Chalet Hotel there, their bar was ok but we had no other choice as everything else was closed later. There were a couple of hotel bars in the village but they were keen on closing early and serving a group of 10 of us. Its a great base for the area, but I would suggest drink elsewhere apres and then head back to base on the bus or in a taxi.
The Royal in St Anton was good, happy hours and brilliant pizza.
Hospitz Alm is the kind of place you have to visit once in your life, but not for long and probably never again as its horribly expensive. Horribly.
I loved the area to ski, and St Christoph made a good base, affordable and the hotel was pretty decent.
