Hi folks
I am in Kitzbuhel for a few days with my wife.
Unfortunately, she is injured and will not be skiing.
Anyone around familiar with the area want to adopt a forty+ irish intermediate skier for a few hours? I enjoy a bit of banter and beers and still cover some ground.

I'm in Niederau just now, but was skiing in Kitzbuhel today. Weather is snow for most of the day plus poor viz. Minus 12 deg.
Some good skiing though.
Scheduled to be the same tomorrow, then two sunny, but cold days.
Glad about Wednesday being sunny. That's the day we plan to ski in our kilts.....

It was our first visit to Kitzbuhel, We had postponed it for years due to resort height etc. but during recent ideal snow conditions we decided at short notice this was the occasion to visit Kitzbuhel.
It was the week running up to the Hahnenkamm races 2017, it was impossible to get a hotel in the town. We stayed 3 nights in Rosi's Sonnenberg Stuben, the hotel is 15 minutes by car from town with beautiful views from the mountain side retreat. Taxi to town €25.00. It was a great experience; the accommodation, breakfast, all staff (particularly Rebecca and Victoria in reception) and restaurant for dinner was most enjoyable.
Libor at Intersport Kitzsport was very helpful with ski rental. Aaron from Hungary was my Ski guide/instructor from Rote Teufel ski school - he was great at his job, familiarised me with the ski area and town, an interesting and friendly ski instructor that made even me look good!!
I thoroughly enjoyed my three days skiing, excellent conditions and terrain.
The town of Kitzbuhel is beautiful and vibrant with many fine resturants, great atmosphere, great apre ski and friendly people, we will return again at a less busy time of year.

We then travelled to Garmisch Partenkirchen for two days skiing, it was a more relaxed experience.
