Thinking about a short trip in late March. St Anton or Ischgl would obviously have the advantage in terms of the extra height but are further from the airport (flying to Munich) and are more difficult to get short term accommodation. Any views on how Mayrhofen would compare that late in the season? I know the Hintertux is just up the valley so at least some decent skiing guaranteed.

Mayrhofen wide fab. Fly to Innsbruck. Make ur way by bus then two trains v easy! Great town plenty restaurants. Lots of red runs a few blue and a great park. New main lift in high St which is v efficient. April 3rd is Snowbombing week so if I can wait there would b lots of music and party's!.

We've just returned from Mayrhofen and they have really good snow cannon cover; 80% of runs were open despite hardly any natural snow, so probably similar in late March.

The op is in Ireland and there are no direct flights to Innsbruck.
When in doubt?....Flat out.

Usually still lots of snow end of March/April. Even late late falls higher up! Sometimes tho hot sun! So early starts a must.
