Hello
Planning a trip to Austria this winter at February or March, looking for a nice hotel in either Mayrhofen, St. Anton, or Ischgl for 3 nights, Thursday to Sunday. But I found out that most hotels only offer 6 nights packages.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Question about short visit to Austria

In the village of Pettneu am arlberg there is a caravan site. Bear with me. They have two or three permanent mobile homes that sleep four. The price per week is 840 to 1250 depending high or low season. I've peaked in the Windows whilst there with our caravan and they appear to be well fitted out. There are laundry facilities on the site, heated ski and boot lockers and the free bus that runs every 15 minutes to st Anton. There is a pool and spa by the site entrance and restaurants within walking distance in the village.

They may be more accommodating for short stay esp in low season.

If you avoid February half term (pretty much the last 2-3 weeks of Feb) you might have more luck. Also, each ski area has a website, so for example if you Google 'ski Mayrhofen' you'll find it. The website will give lists of accommodation. Try ringing or emailing hotels direct. There ought to be places that don't sell out to tour operators and might be more flexible.

Would you be interested in self catering. We do this we know a place which provides fresh bread each morning and if you have a good meal with ski school then soup in the evening is usuallly enough or eating out. I know of an unusual option which may suit

Nearly all accommodation tries to stick visitors to Saturday-Saturday trips especially well ahead of time.
However, as the dates approach, they become more flexible as they face the prospect of empty rooms. Given that there just 2 of you, I would be confident that you will find something but not until much closer to your travelling dates if you avoid the peak February weeks and are flexible about location.
You could also consider travelling out on Saturday and returning Tuesday or Wednesday. This way you only mess up one of their weeks .
One final thought: the Swiss resorts are much more open to weekenders. Somewhere like Flims/Laax is an excellent resort about 2 hours from Zurich airport (if you can stomach Swiss prices
