Another beautiful sunny day. Hardly any wind and benign temperatures. It was -7 in the village this morning and 0 at the top so a bit of temperature inversion going on. However, obviously cold enough to make snow as some of the pistes were looking a bit better. In fact, they were still snow making on the blue runs above Solaise at 11am. We stayed in Val today rather than head over to Tignes. Looped between Bellevarde, top of the Borsat and top of The Grande Pre a few times. Pistes were in fine fettle. Came down the OK at the end of day into La Daille. Scraped in places but I've definitely skied it in worse conditions. All in all, the resort is holding up very well despite the lack of fresh snow. Plenty of off piste fun to be had, just not in knee deep soft stuff.

Not too busy as well with very little queueing at lifts.

Called in at the Blue Note Bar on the way back for some vin chaud and free nibbles.

great pics

The OK is one of the great runs of Europe I think - do-able by anyone bar a complete novice as its so wide for most of it but equally as challenging as you want it to be if you tackle it at speed and take an aggressive line

Have had a "moment" or two on the ice through the trees within sight of the finish before now....

Indeed. Two years ago, one of the Aussie people in our catered chalet had a major moment on the Ok and dislocated his shoulder!

Love the place, tough conditions, most of the terrain is serious, needs more snow, and it's still spectacular now! Thanks for the updates, as watching from the East Coast across the pond, where it's summer.
