Hi
I've booked a trip and would like any advice on transfers options for 2 people. I found a shuttle service for around £80pp which says you may have to wait in the airport for up to 2hrs. I've had a private quote for €600 eek!

Can anyone recommend one from experience please?

Thanks

Four seasons transfers from Munich airport are the most reliable and cost effective in my opinion. I've never had to wait more than 30 minutes for the transfer.

Hi Daisy.

Have you tried contacting your hotel? They may be able to point you to a cost effective transfer.

Another option to consider, though I have not done this journey, would be the train. Seems to take just under 3 hours and looks to cost about 40€ per person return. Seems to require two changes.

Surely the easiest and most cost-effective way would be by train? We were in Munich this summer and the trains are very impressive - punctual, clean and efficient. I had a quick look on the two rail booking sites I use and a return journey from Munich to Westendorf takes a couple of hours and costs around 25 Euros per person one-way, so that's less than £20 single. If you time it right, you might only have 1 change. It's very straightforward. The only thing is, it's probably too early to book if you're going Jan/Feb/March but I think both websites have an option where they will email you when the dates are released.
I use loco2.com or thetrainline-europe.com

Typically the train takes just under 3 hours, changing at München Ost and Wörgl . Cost seems to be around €39 each way per person, but you would need to input your arrival times. I have done the journey to Wörgl many times. Use the DBB website.

If you are not carrying skis, you can hire a small car from £107. For ski size car allow about £150. Suggest you go through auto-europe.

Westendorf is a good place, I ski there every season, it is less than half an hour from Niederau.

Just hire a car at Munich, works cheaper, booked already for Jan trip Munich - Westendorf £151 or 5 days for larger car, small car for a week around the same time was the same sort of money (Renault Megane, Ford Focus etc..)
