I know it's the wrong time of year to ask this but here goes.
Three of my friends are getting married next year so it looks like they are going to have one big ski holiday stag party.
We are all just over 40 so not as young as we think we are but still want somewhere fun.
Picking a resort is difficult though. I had thought of Ischgl or St Anton but as we are traveling from Dublin we are a bit limited by choice of tour operators and they are both very expensive.
Other ideas are Sauze or Les Deux Alpes but we are open to suggestion.
We usually go to Italy for the food and value but even Sauze is quiet enough these days.

Any ideas?
When in doubt?....Flat out.

Thought about Pas de le casa
The Skiing fine and the accommodation is very reasonable with plenty of bars in the evening
With flight to Toulouse or Barcelona

Hi Gareth

Worth looking at Val d'Isere (France) and also Zermatt (Switzerland). Both very lively and the skiing is good also. Should be able to find flights to Geneva from Ireland also.
Good luck.

We have decided on Mayrhofen. Half of us will be there for the full week with the others only coming for four days so we needed somewhere that was suitable for a short trip.
Can't wait now, I've read so many positive reports about Mayrhofen.
When in doubt?....Flat out.

Great place, shame you're going to trash it with a stag do!!!
I have plenty of experience of the skiing here, and you'll find the town has lots of good bars and nice places to eat, as well as late night drinking holes and "clubs" to keep you on it all night! The Schussle by the bridge towards the AhornBahmn should keep you busy!!

Ski wise, if you want to be a little more serious, get to the PenkenBahn at opening time, or don't bother until gone 10. Alternatively bus to the Horberg or Finkelnburg village lifts which are much quieter.

Don't forget Hintertux for at least a day, and also take the train/bus down to Zell and blast across to Gerlos.

Loads to do there, including the famous Hari Kari.

You might like the IceBar as well if its a stag do......

In fairness it is a stag week so we will have a few good nights out but it's still a weeks skiing for me which great as I usually only do short breaks.
Our hotel is right across the road from the Penken lift so I intend to be on it first thing every morning.
I've only every skied in St Anton in Austria in over 25 ski trips so am really looking forward something a bit different from Italy and France.
When in doubt?....Flat out.

Hey Gareth!

Sorry for late reply, but I thought I could be helpful to somebody else that will have the same question :))

We organise Ski Stag Weekends in Slovenia. Slovenia as Ski destination is getting very popular, but don't get me wrong, I don't want to say it's perfect for everyone. I recommend it to groups that are NOT professional skiers, because professionals will seek even higher ski slopes... but for most of us recreational skiers, Slovenia is really good choice!

I always recommend to stag groups to stay in Ljubljana (the capital city) as they have only 30min drive Krvavec ski slope. Usually it's perfect balance between skiing during the day in Krvavec and then partying during the night in Ljubljana's clubs :) And Ljubljana has also other really cool activities to offer, so it's really a good place for a stag celebration.

You can see a skiing video of one of our groups from past season here:
