Ski equipment shop on the way from munich to Lech

Can anyone suggest a good ski equipment shop on the way from Munich airport to Lech?

Not a good idea to hire en-route. Makes it a tad difficult to return the gear for changes.

I don't know him, but fancy Mr Mac is a kind and thoughtful man.......

Possibly the impression he likes to give off on here. But he's had it in for me ever since I visited the Holy Land of N and reported back on it on here. Moving on....

Shirley - I don't know what rental prices are like in Lech, but I fancy they reflect other prices in that area, and would possibly therefore be more expensive, maybe even more so than St Anton even which seems to have a price fix going on around the town!
Returning problem stuff would be a problem if you rented en route, but if you rent the right gear through a connected store (skiset for example) I would imagine you'd be able to return or exchange in Lech at a connected store?
Might be worth PMing Admin, he knows that market well.

I have questioned those who know, as to why we can't get the same pre-booking discounts for "a particular town" as elsewhere, and why the prices are higher...

The pricing is a coincidence, apparently, and absolutely nothing to do with any kind of cartel or monopoly. No siree, definitely not. Because that would be illegal.

Unfortunately, I think it's highly unlikely that you'll be able to collect from one shop and leave at another... due to the "healthy competition" in the area... at least between shops within and outside "the town where prices are coincidentally higher than anywhere else".
