Earlier this morning a Polish skier was injured when a small aircraft aborted his take off and crashed into the ski area.
Only injured her hand, but taken to hospital
That is one of the strangest ski accidents I have come across

Bizarre but lucky to suffer relatively minor injuries

Yet another thing to fear on a ski trip .

I expect the industry are seeing the opportunity already... next season's must-have safety accessories will include backpack-mounted radar and an optional surface-to-air missile...

The poor woman almost had her hand chopped off by one of the propeller blades. Before landing on a blue piste it flew under a chairlift cable, narrowly missed some trees and a group of children. This could very easily have been a catastrophe.

Yeah, they still don't know whether her hand could be saved… :(
