Although it is still a relavant thread.

Correct. Well done for having a go. No doubt you are aware of Neil doing Ready Racer mag ~ he covers a range of skiing, where racing is the main content.
For many years I have felt there is a gap in the market for a magazine for beginners and for intermediates trough to experienced skiers ~ not racers, not hot shot freestylers, not guys upside down, 20 ft in the air, (although to be fair, I have been there, I just did not intend to be)
So good on you, I wish you well. J2ski has a good range of the skiing fraternity, where you may see a wide range of views and abilities.

@DaveMac

Spent the summer away from the ski forums but am back now.

I haven't seem that mag. Our goal is to show real skiers having real experiences. So far it has been a great model.

I plan to network with some on here. I have been able to meet some great people doing some really great stuff on this journey.

how many skiing magazines are there..I don't see many on the news-stands..and I agree there doesn't seem to be anything targeted at the regular holiday skier...that's why I come on here ..the other main forum is too busy and just a bit too aggressive..

I think the transition to digital for some mags is a bit slow. Most are still trying to break away from a scan of their print mags to a fully independent digital version. I started on the average Joe approach because I simply couldn't stand reading about energy drink sponsored shoots anymore.

We are always looking for stories to feature in iSki Mag. Our focus is to show everyday people experiencing the mountains and avoid the pro photo shoots.

Guilty of reviving an old thread but I have vowed never, ever, to buy the Daily Telegraph (was the Daily Mail) Ski and Snowboard magazine again. I bought the October edition and there was absolutely nothing in it, apart from one feature on obscure and difficult to reach resorts in Canada, re-hash of resort reviews from the Where to Ski and Snowboard book, some kit reviews and loads and loads of advertorials written by the resorts themselves. Rubbish and very poor value for money.
