Mike

I don't think it's restricted to the UK, but it is a closed group, meaning that you need approval from our leader to join. We don't want any old riff raff you know ) Have you joined Facebook already?

Thanks bandit for the info.... No I have no facebook affiliations to date. I try to stay away from riff raff...

But what you say is contrary to the skiing world - as I understand it. That is to say ... we are generally not an elitist group - being a group of people who share the common thrill of what nature provides us with for winter. Sure, we all have different abilities and knowledge but we share these in hopes to "help" others enjoy what we enjoy :D

Mike, if you join Facebook, then you can join the J2skiers group. If Facebook profiles were open for viewing by everyone, everywhere, then quite a few folks would likely quit )

If J2skiers was an open group on Facebook, then anyone could join for any reason. Your logic is sound, but not everyone out there is honest and decent.

I agree.. just kidding with my comments

It is a sad world and when we come upon an honest person, we often don't trust that there isn't a ulterior motive behind their "kindness". Just as Admin points out in being careful what we put on the internet.
