Was there in '88 and the main thing I remember was the sunburn!

Even after a week in Andorra, the altitude and latitude combined was seriously dangerous and I ended up in the medical centre because I didn't use an adequate sunscreen. I reckon only Oukaimeden (Marrakech - Morocco) could possibly be worse!

DO NOT laugh at the people sitting having lunch with paper bags over their heads!! - SERIOUSLY!!!

Reviving this thread....

We're looking at buying a holiday flat or duplex on the Costa Tropical and one of the advantages would be the proximity to Sierra Nevada. So any more recent updates on the resort would be very much appreciated.

I have no idea what you were driving but it must have been rocket-powered to have got there from Granada in 20 minutes!

Conducted a recce while on the Costa Tropical last month. Drove up from Granada and with very little traffic and in immaculate weather it took 40 minutes. Still not bad, but definitely not 20 mins! Liked the look of it to be honest and reasonably easy to picture it in snow despite lovely late summer sun and temperatures!
