This is correct, the fitter will normally cut them to your size and fit them.

Came out of the gym this morning with a chronic pain down the outside of my left foot, which won't go away. Feels like a cramping kind of pain. It hurts when I put pressure on it, is when walking or standing. No pain to touch it though. I spent more time on the treadmill than normal, about 90 minutes, but the right foot is fine.

Any ideas?

I know that I was surprised to discover that one of my feet pronates more than the other. I ended up with different posting on that foot bed to compensate. Prior to this I had always had more difficulty skiing on one ski that side.
because I'm so inclined .....

Moulded footbeds made the world of difference to me....that and having boots fitted properly. Last boots bought I was over 2.5 hours having them fitted and moulded footbeds done. If they aren't taking that time, they aren't doing their job.
