Either way the damage has been done as she is adamant she will never ever ski again.

I am of course joking, get her on here and let her talk to other people with similar history. I frightened the hell out of myself on my 6th day ever, was close to never putting my board back on again.
Be gentle and introduce her to here, some of us are close to being normal.

Now we are going to have the battle titles "Which resort is best not to ski at? Mayrhofen or Niederau?"

mikeandangela wrote:Toni, I think the problem was that she didnt get the best tuition at Xscape Milton Keynes. She never really got her weight forward properly to apply a good plough, so she was never confident of being able to stop in an emergency. Also she came away from Xcsape with rather painful bruising to her shins so I think the boots must have been wrong for her.
Either way the damage has been done as she is adamant she will never ever ski again.

Thats bordering on tragic. I assume after MK that she went in for lessons while you were away? Was the chair incident during a lesson, or was it when the 2 of you were doing your own thing?
Sounds like the whole MK incident was a shocker, but not par for the course. Can you convince her this was just a one offbad experience that other people dont have, and for her to give it another try, or has she really decided thats it?
