Blimey, my powers of communication must be dwindling... I was only trying to tell people NOT to dawdle and make sure they leave plenty of time... in order not to miss their planes. There is no danger of holding up a flight - you will be bounced, and your luggage will be taken off the plane and in all probability sent somewhere utterly random.
And if you want a really good start to your ski holiday, ditch the horrors of LHR and LGW and spend a few extra quid to fly Swiss from City. Esp to Zurich - now there's an airport worth writing a post about. Assuming there is no fog, snow, ice, or gentle drizzle at City airport, in which case your flight will be summarily cancelled.
