Hi, as I understand it to travel to Italy as a 13 year old (Who has had covid) with two fully vaccinated parents a government "letter of recovery" is ok. It's confusing but I think I'm correct, anybody know anything? Thanks.

Got in to Vancouver no problems never asked anything at all about covid pcr tests etc. Saying that i uploaded vaccine info to Arrivcan. But ive came in as positive recovered so no test required before departure from uk or arriving but i thought they would have asked for proof of the positive test

This is likely due to enforcement; the Italian police conduct regular checks, the results of which are reported in the Italian press. Between the 24 and 30 Jan. the police in the Aosta valley region checked 7,498 individuals and 414 businesses for compliance with the covid regulations, 3 people were fined for not having a 'Green Pass' and another 3 for not wearing masks.

During a check in the Plan Maison lift station above Cervinia on 30. Jan. the Carabinieri noticed that 4 Italian youths were not wearing masks, when challenged the youths kicked off big time. As well as being fined for not wearing masks they were also reported to the public prosecutor for insulting a public official and refusing to provide identification.

A sense check please….
2 adults (fully vaccinated and boosted) and two children under 12. Driving from uk to La Thule, overnight stop in France. 2 adult LFTs to be done before leaving UK (valid 24hrs). Taking 4 x self administered LFT tests* to do following morning (2 adults , 2 children) valid for 24 hrs to enter Italy?
*self administered, eg. Private Test, scan code, upload to site/app, certificate within 1hr.

Does this sound correct?

Unsure of any other (easy) way when LFTs only valid 24hrs and 48hr PCR won't be back before departure to last duration of trip/entry to both countries (and France only requiring for adults but Italy for all travellers). Alternative would be to find a test centre in France, but hesitant with loaded car, being a busy Saturday, and unfamiliar with local system.

Thanks for any advice/experience

As long as your test certificates are equivalent to the EU Digital COVID Certificate you should be fine.

As France and Italy are both in the Schengen area there are no systematic border controls https://ec.europa.eu/home-affairs/policies/schengen-borders-and-visa/schengen-area_en so it's very unlikely that you will be stopped at the border.
