Looking good for opening day tomorrow in Valira. Your Man in Soldeu wont be arriving in resort until Monday, but updates on conditions will be forthcoming from then on.

Heres to another brilliant season on the snow in Soldeu!

Arrived here in Soldeu yesterday.First days skiing today. A lot of snow fell at the weekend but unfortunately it was really stormy at the top and didn't get a chance to settle. A few runs open in Soldeu El Tarter but links to grau and Pas not open yet. Snow forecast locally for the weekend so let's hope it arrives without the wind!

Been a couple of times - first time in El Tartar (Hotel Euroski but that was fine but a minibus to the gondola) in Feb when there was some snow but not a vast amount but enough to keep the runs open . The second time I stayed at the Piolets (which was a bit run down but right on the gondola) but there was so much snow it was above the retaining fences.
Would happily go again but probably wouldn't stay in Pas - that area seemed much busier than the rest of the area.

Snow in Grandvalira is pretty good for this stage of the season. Links to Grau still closed but empty pistes and no queues.
