Ski resorts exaggerating piste lengths

I basically agree. I am currently in Garmisch where officially there are 40km pistes. Now the number of runs is 13. The longest descent is about 3km. As a result there is not way to have that ski area extension. By dividing by 1.7 one probably gets a more realistic estimate, e.g., 20-25 km.
