The instructor was happy to start when we wanted and finish when we wanted ,quite often he was with us 5-6 hours .
As 2 of us had skied once before so he would do 1 on 1 with the kids/wife then do bit us in the afternoon.

Good to hear you've sorted you're lift pass!
If you are going to hire equipment, wait till you get there and have a good look around at the rental equipment on offer first. There was some pretty awful (old, poor quality and worn out)stuff being hired out when we were there. That was a while ago now so they may have all upgraded their gear.
