Geneva - Moutiers - Val Thorens

I am worried, as we go this Saturday AM - so 6 sleeps..
As a veteran of the is trip i.e this is year 8 - and we always drive in....
The real problem is, if the close the road twice because it can't cope with the volume up and down on change over day i.e Saturday
They are good at what they do but they fear Wind - so when the "forecast" says "Gale" I am think lots of wind...
The best window for the run up (it's only 36 kms) is between noon and two BUT if they close the road form 13.00 to 14.00 it causes absolute chaos....
