Tour ops offer passes at the same price as resort but stiff you on the exchange rate.

Buy from the office in resort, using a good rate credit/debit card that also doesn't stiff you on the rate.

Strange that Tignes was mentioned. The only 'deal' on a pass I have had recently was bought through the Youth Hostel in Tignes. Seemed to cost virtually nothing when bought with acomodation.

The rate we've got is basically the children's rate. I know the guy has been in the area for a long time. Maybe he's got a mate in the lift office, or local hotels get some kind of rate. Either way, I can't seem to find a better offer...

So is that solely the lift pass, or did you book the rest of your trip with them. If it's the latter, I'd suggest they're hiding the cost of the pass in the total price. I tend to book my flights, hotel and lift pass separately. Partly for cost, but mainly for convenience of travel options.

That was the whole package in one place but as I paid £600 for a chalet in VDI inc flights and transfers they weren't ripping me off! I do often book lift pass direct but these offers were too good to pass up (pun intended)
