Sadly not... but hopefully the SCGB will re-open to non-members and become a more visible meeting point once more. Whether that happens or not, this site will remain free to those who wish to use it - and will try to provide a complementary rather than competitive forum. Feel free to invite yer mates in the meantime... 8)

Here's the latest from the SCGB.....

The Ski Club apologises for taking down the open chat forum without notice, and we do recognise that we could have done this in a better, more user-friendly way.

Also, we clearly had not realised how much Ski Club members appreciated having an open forum, as against a members only forum. Because of the strong response from members, we are reconsidering that decision and expect to come back with positive news within a week.

Hmmm, there's much bickering going on over on the SCGB now, with a move by the SC to silence critics on the forum chat site for legal considerations. It seems to have split the members so far and is creating further unrest. It really is turning into a complete farce. SCGB, RIP

Yes, such a shame. The forum was a real opportunity for the influence of the ski club to be show-cased. Instead they have simply reinforced the worst of the stereotype images people held...

There's very little going on today. In the Snowboard forum, there is now only one thread going, and that's had no adition since the 15th.

One of the regulars has even started a sleeping thread, presumably because it's so quiet!

Hi - I'm a newie here, previously a frequenter of SCGB, just come to say hello! Can't stand all the bickering & pettiness over there at the moment! You might also want to check out www.snowheads.com which is pretty lively.

Nice to c u cathyc. and thanks for the link. Those SCGB @rses have probably done irrepairable damage, I suspect.
