My wife is a beginner. We skiied sp last year, staying with my brother in kamloops. She was limited to 5 runs @ sp. We are going back to kamloops and thought about 2-3 days at silver. She is wondering how are the green runs..wider, steeper flatter, at ss vs sp. She does not like narrow runs that have sharp drop offs on one side. Kids 7 and 10 loved sp last year. My wife mostly skiied 5 mile and cahility at sp. Thanks

although the runs aren't as long as SP silver star will have what she needs. They are the same style of hills and scenery.

You might look at Big White as well? Great selection of different levels and often better skiers can play in the trees off to the side of the same run as their less skilled family members so the whole family has fun together. Lots of family and kid things to do there as well,

Just had a co worker get back from Silver Star and she said they had to ski the top of the hill only. They made it work though.
British Columbia is having a bad snow year.

Yeah, that's why I'd also suggest Big White. The elevation is making a difference and while we'd all be happy to get more snow, which will come (I'm being positive) Big White is keeping its base pretty well. I skied on Sunday and was surprised by a combo of a little icing sugar on top and firm under. Not great for boarders but considering all I was pretty ok with it as a Skier. Beautiful sunny day but abit windy and the wind was cool so that's what kept the snow firmer. 2 weeks ago I was skiing 6-8" of not too bad fresh. Not your typical BC Interior Powder but pretty darn fun.
I only have 10 days in so far this season as I didn't start until Jan 12th but I haven't had a bad day yet and have had 6 days of fresh snow so I'd say so far so good. Now, the weather did start to turn last week so we'll see if we can keep ahead of the game but Big White does look to be having a pretty good visitor year as I've been riding up the lift with people from all over. Can't find a condo on the hill this weekend even. Words out that we've got enough snow to have fun on
