Hi everyone,
I have booked my ski vacation for February 7th in Saalbach. I can only afford to ski once in few years, so it has to be PERFECT :)
I land in Vienne, so:
Should i be worried with the snow conditions?
I have booked accomodation in Saalbach and can cancel before Jan 7th.
Should i make a reservation somewhere else in the meantime? Where should i book? Kaprum maybe?
Thanks!

Been to Saalbach the last two mid January's, and it was great. Hold your nerve, the whole of Europe is so mild at the moment but its due to change.

I'm going to Saalbach 3rd Jan, so getting really worried. I have warned the snow gods that I am packing my mankinini and will not hesitate to wear it should this tropical weather persist. They have been warned!
Skied: On snow, On water, On mud, On slush, On ice. Oh, and on a few dry slopes.

By all accounts it's snowing everywhere in Austria but a friend has just had a powder alert for Saalabch which is sent I think when they expect more than 20cm in a 48 hr period. Keep the faith.

Just got back from Saalbach last weekend. Snow was great even though it had only arrived a few days before we did. There were a couple of runs closed, but rest were fine. We had more problems with wind closing lifts. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Enjoy.

A little fresh yesterday and 30cm+ forecast for the weekend, so should improve markedly from here. Enjoy!
