Hello, trying to plan a ski trip to Austria soon, but I was wondering if the resorts will be closed on the 24th/25th, or can we still ski?
THAT would be a bad thing to find out after we book the hotel...

No, resorts and lift systems will be open.

The Austrians take a very low key and civilised approach to Christmas. We have had three holidays at Christmas in the excellent Petertsbuhel hotel in Obertauern - the tree goes up Christmas eve, you have a nice meal, and everyone goes skiing the next day. Or you could stay at home, entertain hordes of sponging relatives, and watch rubbish tv. Life's full of choices! Obertauern recommended unreservedly by the way - great resort if a little lacking in Alpine charm.
