The big question : which is the better area for snow first week in April 2015 - Cervinia or Livigno?

Your question can only be answered in April 2015...
Cervinia has the best snow right now but that might have changed by next week, let alone next Spring... 8)

Apart from the ridiculous transfer to Livigno have to say was not very impressed with the resort. Hence more famous for duty status than actual skiing. Cervinia is one of best resorts in Alps, something for everyone. Is mainly South facing though so better to get up early and make best of snow conditions.
