Any advice would be well received on this subject. I am going on 15th march.

Agree with Huwcyn, ski school is a must if it's your first time. It's great fun. I will be spending a day or 2 in Alpbach next week. Spent a day skiing there in January and it's a really nice place. Hope you have a great time.

as all have said ..go to ski school...but try and get a lesson in the UK first ..even if its just for one day..Hemel Castleford Manchester all have indoor snow..at least you will know what skis feel like and you will enjoy it more when you get there..

As Daved says....
Something in the UK first if time. A chance to find out about the bizarre torture that ski boots can be and walking around with 5' planks on one's feet :)
Then definitely ski school!

Well done you :-) Ski school should be good fun with lots of banter amongst people all going through the same thing. However, if you find the group is just too big and you are always the one at the back and therefore getting very little out of the lessons, treat yourself to a private lesson as it could make all the difference to whether you enjoy the whole ski experience and actually want to go again in the future. I would echo what others have said about just feeling what is it like to wear ski boots, etc.
