I would think you'd have to have a guide to find these routes - because they're not marked are they?
With a black (not naturide or itinery) running down the middle of it.
But it is a dodgy spot and the Sache black is frequently closed due to weather and snow fall.
It hasn't been open yet this year and the access lifts on that side from Les Boisses and Les Brevieres aren't due to open until this coming weekend.
I would love to know what if any warnings etc were posted at the top of the Aiguille Percee chair???
I would expect that the access to this side of the valley from the top was roped off.

I am planning on ski-ing the Sache in January, which is in the same area, but not an itinerary route. If they mean a 'naturide' run then these are supposed to be avalanche controlled (as per the Espace Killy piste map).

Looking at the piste map I can see an area marked 'vallon de la Sache' but there are no pistes or naturides or anything else marked on it apart from the black Sache piste.
Let's hope they're all OK!

Yes, it does make you think. What possess folks to head off piste when the Risk Level is High? When appeals have been made by avalanche professionals locally, for skiers to stay on low angle slopes, why would you? When you have no safety equipment, why would you?

This morning 3 members of a group of 12 were caught in an avalanche at Samnaun, also this morning 3 members of a group of 8 were taken by one near Serfaus, one of the group is in a critical condition after being buried under 1.2 m of snow for 20 mins. On Saturday afternoon 2 members of a group of 3 were caught in one at Celerina and 3 snowboarders were caught in an avalanche at Solden last Friday. These together with the ones reported by PisteHors bring the total to 10 so far.

Le Vallon de la Sache is off piste not an itinerary. It's not avalanche controlled.
