We're not going to Hemsedal this season but I like to pop in to look at their website now and again. Looks like winter has arrived nice and early this year. Plenty of snow, even reaching down to the town at 600m. Season may start on time this year on 2nd November.

I get excited just looking at the early snow . Really enjoyed ourselves in Norway this year so we are flying to Trondheim again in Feb but driving to Are in Sweden.

Apparently the women chat the men up in Sweden ,just saying :-)

Looking great in Hemsedal for early season skiing. Temperatures good above 1000m although slight thaw in the town. 9 day forecast is showing freezing down to 0m in a few days time!

If we were sans children, I'd be tempted to head over there for some November skiing. Accommodation is really cheap that month and more fun that skiing on a glacier in the alps.

What precisely does that comment mean? I know what I think it means, and I'd rather not make assumptions.

So you're saying that waitresses in Norway mostly spend their time chatting up men as part of their job? Table service must be rather slow?

Next time you go to Norway try Hvalbiffgryte , it's whale steak stew and great after a day on the slopes
