I've done a season in Chatel. Great traditional french village, and access to the Port du Solei region...14 mountain pass! keen to explore somewhere else in france for a season, any suggestions? main criteria is the traditional feel and access to several mountains.

keen to hear your thoughts. cheers
Montchavin... and therefore excellent acces to Paradiski.... La Plagne and Les Arcs
How about Champagny on the other side of La Plagne ...if you have transport you can see courcheval from there ,,its down the road

Do you plan to have a car with you?

This would open up a lot more of the more traditional places to stay.
