This is a s/c family holiday. We're sharing a chalet with friends,also with children.
Monopoly/cards/word games rather than boozing it up!!
In case anyone has not been to Norway (which is probably quite a few of you), alcohol is seriously restricted. The supermarkets in Hemsedal do not sell wine at all. We would have to travel 25 miles to Gol, the nearest large town.
I met up with an old Uni pal last time we were there (he lives in Oslo) and we popped down to the local supermarket to buy some beer. I had to have a lie down when I realised that a six pack of 'cheap' beer was £20 :shock:
We travelled back via Sweden and Denmark. It was interesting to see a long line of Swedes queuing in a shopping centre in Gothenburg waiting for the state owned wine shop to open.

Have been nervously viewing the snowforecast outlook for Hemsedal for the last 2 or 3 weeks. Scandinavia has been ridiculously warm of late with, I think, record temperatures. However, the outlook seems to be improving. Fingers crossed for Easter. Hope all other j2ski Easter skiers are going to be ok.
